Support for customers impacted by coronavirus (COVID-19)
As the impact of coronavirus is felt across the UK, you may have concerns about how it could affect you and your money.
We've put in place some additional support and information to help.
Managing your money
If your income has been affected by the disruption from the coronavirus, we have made the below changes to help you:
- Emergency access to savings in fixed term accounts without charge.
- Mortgage payment holidays - With immediate effect, customers whose income has been impacted by Covid-19 may be offered payment holidays for up to 3 months. This applies to all Birmingham Midshires customers regardless of whether you have a Buy to Let mortgage or Residential mortgage.
We're currently dealing with a much larger number of calls than usual. The quickest way for you to apply is online at bmmortgages.co.uk.

Stay fraud safe
Remember, your money is safe in your account. People are using the coronavirus outbreak as an opportunity to try new scams by email, call and text.
We'll never call, email or text and ask you to:
- Share your account details like user ID, password and memorable information.
- Move money to another account.
